How does one stand out from the crowd?
It starts with a unique location - the Strang Carbarn in Downtown Overland Park, where William Strang had a vision for a community of homes set naturally amidst the rolling hills and trees of Johnson County with lakes and amusements such as an airfield. Connecting Overland Park to Kansas City was the Strang Trolley line which operated out of the Strang Carbarn where Traditions Furniture now shows its wares.
Traditions Furniture is now part of this storied history and the furniture we offer represents a connection with quality and tradition. In 1984, we first began offering Tom Seely and Gat Creek furniture - Amish and Mennoite built furniture from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Today we also offer Stickley Furniture and Nichols and Stone, two of the oldest names in American manufacturing.
With locations in both Overland Park and Wichita, Kansas, Traditions is supported by the dedication of our employees and customers who make us the store that we are today.
